Summary
The Staff Accountant works to support the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Enter accounts payable invoices and amortize expenses as applicable
- Enter customer invoices, apply cash payments, and handle billing disputes
- Manage accounts receivable and collections for assigned customer accounts
- Record month-end accruals
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
- Prepare audit requests and documentation
- Manage vendor onboarding process through Bill.com
- Manage travel expense review and compliance and related accounting entries
- Proactively identify transactional, process, and efficiency concerns within accounting functions. Propose and enact solutions.
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested

- Participate in company meetings, sales meetings and other company events
- Conflicts and other challenges are to be promptly communicated to your supervisor then HR if not resolved within a reasonable time frame (chain of command)
- Participate in all company training courses provided and successfully complete all necessary on- line and self-paced training courses in the defined timelines

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with one to two years of relevant accounting experience.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products is required, as well as familiarity with accounting software. Amplix uses NetSuite and Bill.com but experience with these systems is not required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Location
Preference given to applicants living in the Boston, MA area and able to work in our Norwood, MA office one-two days per week.
